Facebook for Maestro Classics
Many of us who are over 30 are just getting the hang of Facebook. Maestro Classics, being only 8 years old, definitely needed to be in the loop. The young and spunky Ruth Bleakley has joined our team as our coordinator of social media. We are having a lot of fun with her and cannot believe how many people she has already converted to visiting us there on Facebook. You can see her wonderful paper creations on her own website. Welcome, Ruth! We love you!

Gerald Schwartz's Conductor's Guide to Handel's Water Music
Amazing what you find when you start to spring clean your Mac! There is a series called "Musically Speaking" where conductor Gerald Schwartz gives a "Conductor's Guide" to a number of well-know classical works, including Handel's Water Music. It is really very good and an excellent corollary to our Maestro Classics' The Story of Water Music" for older audiences. Schwartz, originally a very fine trumpeter from NYC, has been the very innovative music director of the Seattle Symphony since 1985. Listen to samples on iTunes or Amazon and see if you like him.
